Lucy was born in Pine Ridge
And she was raised there too.
She always called it home
She loves the people-
Sticks with ‘em like glue!

So she laces her Nikes
For one more 12 hour shift.
These small-town folks need a nurse here
Somebody’s down and Lucy’s gonna give ‘em a lift!

Someone needs you!
Someone needs me!
Give them a hand right now. . .
Make a plan and
Don’t just stand there,
Put your hand to the plough. . .
You’ve gotta help right now!

She lived awhile in Arizona
So much to hear and see.
She heard about a skin walker,
She loves to see and to read mysteries!

But she came back to Pine Ridge,
“I’ll live there ‘til I die. . .”
But until then she and her big family
Will climb into her Yukon and drive. . .
‘cause. . .
Someone needs you!
Someone needs me!
Give them a hand right now. . .
Make a plan and
Don’t just stand there,
Put your hand to the plough. . .
You’ve gotta help right now!

What is your favorite color, favorite shoe, or favorite car? We want to thank Lucy for sharing all her favorites. Also, thank you for sharing stories about your travels in Arizona and other places.

Lucy has worked as a nurse and in other capacities in the medical field. She has dedicated many years of work to the Pine Ridge hospital and speaks fondly of her birthplace in South Dakota. Pine Ridge is where she was born and she loves the people of this area.

Lucy loves helping her friends and relatives and is someone you can count on. She has had many adventures and she always views the world with a great sense of humor. She enjoys a good mystery and is willing to share a spine-tingling story.

Lucy encourages Oelrichs students to do well in school and work at something that will help the world-maybe something in the medical field.
